Maori: Likes, dislikes and make compliments.

Task description.
Whaea Kelly created a Maori task of expressing our likes, dislikes and making compliments. We had to learn and memorise what he pai means. He Pai means this, Is this (random thing) good? Then we learnt how to respond to it. We learnt how to say "Kao, Ae he pai and Ae, he tino pai". Kao, means no. Ae he tino pai, means Yes, it's very good! And lastly, Ae, he pai means Yes, It's good. After we were done, we had to make a screencastify or a poster. I chose to make a screencastify. After I was done, I have to post it on my blog.

Comprehension Q's 2020

Task description.

Mrs. Ilaoa created a task we had to finish until Thursday. This is my comprehension task, we had to answer questions that were pretty challenging. Atmosphere 2020

Task description.

Task description.

My Letter to my Grandma

2 places I'd go to

Task description.
Mrs. Tele'a created a writing task. We had to pick 2 places to choose to visit while we were in a lockdown. We could go to any 2 places because we have permission from Jacinda Arden. I would choose a theme park so I can have fun with my friends and family. I'd also choose a adoption centre for dogs, but I don't think they'd be there sadly. So I'd either stay home, or go to a theme park.

My Bubble

Task description.
Mrs. Tele'a created a writing task. The task introduces a bubble, and were in that bubble. We had to choose who we have in our bubble. I first and definitely chose my family, like of course! Family is always first. I also chose my friends because I would have so much fun with them because I'll easily get bored.

3 new words I've come across.

Task description.
Mrs. Tele'a created a slide were we had to find 3 words that we don't know and try and learn the meaning/definition. I chose the word Chorus, because back then I used to think it was just an addicting verse. But it actually always comes after every verse, that's why it's named Chorus. I also chose supercalifragiliisticexpialidocious. Me and my good friend Bradley learnt how to say it, but he didn't learn how to spell it. I took at least 30 minutes trying to figure out how to spell and say it. But I finally mastered it, but I still can't type it super fast. The last word I chose was Psychotherapist. I got this word because there's this game on Roblox, called "Word Bomb". I'll explain the game, the game will give you 1-3 random letters. E.g, it gives you in, you then have to try a word with "in". You can't swap the letters together, you can't do anything. You just have to find a word, like Bin! That's how you play the game, but I found out about it because I was stuck on these 2 letters, "sy". So I decided to look it up because I didn't want to lose. The first word I found was "Psychotherapist." That's how I found Psychotherapist. Lastly, we had to find some photos, like imagine "Chorus", I would of gone for a singer. So I decided to go with Camila Cabelo. After we were done, we posted it on our blog.

A picture is worth a thousand words!

Task description.
Today, I did a slide about pictures. Our wonderful teacher, Mrs. Tele'a created this slide so we could also understand the deeper meaning about this picture. In this slide, I chose the Military. It really hits me because they actually sacrifice themselves to protect our country. That's why I chose this photo, it has a really deep meaning to it. That's why a picture is worth thousands of words.

Task description.
Today, I've done a slide created by Mrs. Tele'a. The main topic is "Kit kat". Kit kat means something like a break, like the add, "Take a break, have a Kit Kat.". Collect and interpret data: Left or Right handed

WALT: Collect and interpret data.

Task description.
Ms. Tapuke created a presentation for us to finish. We had to collect and interpret data. We had to finish one slide then post it on our blog. In this slide we had to count how much people were at the meeting. We had to count how much boys their are and how much girls their are. After we counted, we had to figure out how much people are right or left handed. But today, our whole class is right handed so we had to create a statement like "All the students are right handed." Something I'd like to know more about.

I would want to learn more about surgeons because I'm aiming to be one when I'm older. I want to learn more about surgeons so I know which type of surgeon I want to be if I past medic school. 
I would have to learn what that type of surgeon does. 
I also really need a high check, I mean.. you know me!

Statistical Graphs

Task description.
Miss. Tapuke gave us a task to do for maths. This tasks was about graphs. We had to explain/interpret a range of statistical graphs. 3 Facts I've learnt.

Today I'm gonna show you 3 facts I've learnt but I'm gonna explain it my own words!

The first fact I learnt was very interesting. First of all I didn't know what a pioneer so it was a whole new experience with me. But I learn't pioneers are brave and independent!

The second fact I learnt was about pioneers again. 
 I learnt that before they established farms and settlements, they had to first clear the land! Which is a boring fact, but I think it's important to pioneers.

The next fact is about kiwi's, aka New Zealander's. 
I learnt that Kiwi's love the outdoors, I personally hate outdoors and prefer playing games inside my warm house. But I thought everyone does that but turns out they love outdoors! Which is really surprising for me.

What I would bring when I travel.

Today I'm gonna finish tasks that I forgot about. This activity is for the Easter Learning Journey. I have to take a photo of my self with one special items that I would bring when I'm travelling.
