Buried People	The red pyramid	Kufu
They first wanted to bury them in the sand but they got dug up by wild animals and got stolen by thieves. The pyramids were created so the dead people's valuables they wore wouldn’t get stolen since they believe that they should wear them when dead.	The Red Pyramid, believed to be the first pyramid  Pharaoh	Kufu, created the great pyramid giza by himself. Took 10 - 20 years to build.  (2.3 million blocks of stone) Tallest man-made structure for over 4000 years. Kufu created some more pyramids from his wives to be buried in.  Two more temples for the honour of his death. Built 4500 years ago.

Moa Poster

 

Today for literacy, we had to read an article about an extinct flightless bird called a Moa. We had to tell others the appearance, when it got extinct and what the maori people use with moa meat, feathers, etc. We also had to find some words we didn't know the definition of. Lastly, we had to draw a moa from a drawing website/google drawings. Luckily Kiarah let me use her really 'unique' moa.

Symbolism

Today for literacy/inquiry, we learnt something called symbolism. We learnt different meanings on different symbols. We also had to know why people use symbolism, like for example.. they can use symbolism as hints that you're in trouble.

Then we read an article and answered some questions. Then we shared it on our blog.
