Te Whare Tapa Wha = Pineapple

WALT:  Taking care of our well-being, this is Taha Wairua.



Task description.
Ms. Tapuke and the Team 5 teachers created a task based of Taha Wairua. Taha Wairua is our Spiritual well-being. We had to share a bible verse, poem, prayer or an inspirational quote we found on google. Then we had to explain why it's important to us. After we we were done explaining, we then have to share it on our blog, for the whole world to see.

Reading Week 7 : Air Pollution and Animals.

WALT: Think about and respond critically to texts.

Task description.
Ms. Tapuke created a reading task based on animals and air pollution. Our WALT was to think about and respond critically to texts. Our first slide, we had to watch a video, describing the video and we have to explain what happened in the video. We had to share our thoughts about the video. Then we had to look at photos, before quarantine and after quarantine. We had to explain the differences between those 2 photos. Our last task was to choose one photo from the link and take a screenshot of it. We had to make a before and after comparison. We also had to use a lot of detailed words for those 3-5 sentences. By the amount of detailed words we had to use, it was incredibly hard for me. I don't think it was only hard for me. Some of my friends had trouble with the same task as me.

WALT: Taking care of our well-being, this is Taha Hinengaro.



Task description.
Ms. Tapuke and the Team 5 teachers created a task based on our well-beings. Today, we were learning about Taha Hinengaro.This means we were taking care of our thoughts by meditating or like doing something relaxing. After we were finished with our task, we had to share our presentation on our blog to share with the world.

Taha Tinana

Task description.

The Great Barrier Reef



Task description.

Punctuation Practice


Walt: use commas when adding additional information to a sentence


Task description.
Mrs. Ilaoa created a punctuation task. In this task, we had to replace small letters with capitalised letters, and then we also have to add comma's in our sentences when we need to. After we were finishing the editing, we had to post it on our blog.

Capital Letters

Mrs. Ilaoa created a task about capital letters, we had to learn how to use capital letters correctly. We learnt that capital letters have to be used for a lot of things, including months, names and days! Kei Hea A Amo?



Task description.
Whaea Kelly and Ms. Tapuke created a Maori task for us to under and use location words. Location words like "outside", after we were done with slide 5 & 6, we had to either create a poster teaching people what we learnt, or record a conversation with someone. Since I didn't have anyone, I did it with my twin! Hope you enjoy!

Triangles!



Task description.
Today, Ms. Tapuke created a task about Triangles. We were learning names and know the properties of different kinds of triangles. In these slides, we had to watch the video that taught us so many things. It made us learn how to notice the difference between different triangles. After we slide 2, 3 and 4. We had to create a headband made out of triangles. I decided to make 3 which was very challenging, after I was done, I had to post it on my blog.

Time Capsules: Pompeii and Herculaneum


Task description.
Today, I've finished a slide about the eruption that happened at Mount Ventus. We had to answer these questions in our own words, and we also have to try and make our answers correct. While I was answering questions, I had a really hard time since I missed out on half of the reading video chat. But luckily, I still finished it and now I'm posting it on my blog!

Tectonic Plates!



Task description.
Today, me and my class learnt about tectonic plates. We had to watch a few videos so we could fully understand what tectonic plates are. After we learnt and fully understand what tectonic plates are, we had to explain it in our own words in slide 2 so our readers can learn about tectonic plates as well! After we were done with that slide, we had to explain what earthquakes and volcano's are. We also had to explain how it's created as it's apart of tectonic plates. On slide 4, those are videos that talk about earthquakes and volcano's. After we were done, we had to post it on our blog to share what we've learnt.
