The Rare child P1/P3

This rare child is a interesting person. She's kind and all but she is creepy. She gains a new _____ every month.

When she was born, the doctors and nurse realized that she had 11 fingers. They didn't know why but they just gave the child away because they were scared. When they brought the child home. They saw that the child had 11 fingers. They payed so much to the scientist to find out what it is, but they finally knew what the problem is but not the solution, they also  don't know what the name of the problem is. They explained what's gonna happen. They said that she would gain a finger every month. After a year, she had 23 fingers..

This is the end of part one, hope you enjoy this story of this child I made up.

  1. Kia ora Simon,

My name is Rachel and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. It is great to see that you are posting so many blogs and sharing your stories with us. I see from this story about The Rare Child that there is a fill-in-the-blank option. As a reader, are we allowed to fill in the blank or will you come back and tell us the missing word is in the second sentence? I am certainly intrigued!

I hope that you will continue to share your stories with us this summer. I see that you did take a little break to go to an eye appointment (hope that you're okay). Our team will pop back and check out your blog over the summer. We'd love to invite you to also blog with us as part of the Summer Learning Journey programme. You will find our new programme on our website (www.summerlearningjourney.co.nz) under the 'Weekly Activities' tab. Feel free to check it out and to join the journey any time over the break. We're online every day!

Wishing you and your family a great holiday.

    Bye for now!

    Rachel :)
