A work of Art

Hi my name is Simon today we are  reading a story for Paua and Kina. We read a book called a work of art also a story about a artist who rebuild rubbish art on the city. So we made our mind to make something with our new  40 chromebook boxes so we made 3 groups and I was with Jane,Maddie. So we planed what should we build out of the boxes and thinked of a sky tower cause almost everyone voted for the sky tower and I was the leaders with Jane,and Maddie and it is the main tower of our country. So we got started our creative sky tower. I didn't like it to much people were silly,fighting, and having hard times thinking because Mr.Burt said why are we doing this but at least Jane got the question but it took for ever. There was lots of decorations and we were finally done but we had to destroy it because it not gonna last until morning tea also we took pictures of it before we destroy it and we took pictures on the Ipad's. And then we cleaned but it took for ever! We put the new chromebook boxes.

Simon Compound sentences

Simple sentences:
Moana is my favourite movie. Moana is showing at Pt england school.

Compund sentences:

Moana is my favourite movie,also Moana is showing at the Pt. England Reserve on Friday.

We are learning how to change simple sentences into compound sentences by using Fanboys.

Swimming

my maths group and i went to have swimming lesson in the sparkly pool.  I was so terrified and excited at the same time.  We went there after lunch until 20 minutes then we had to change. When we were done changing we did maths whizz so we waited until 20 minutes is done.

When we get there the people who is swimming has to get a little shower.  I’m in Mr. Moran maths group. There some kids who in my group but. Then we had to the roll to ask when you are there today  . I forgot the instructor name but there was two girls  and two boy.s.                                 

First we learned kicking our legs hard also some safety, it was so fun swimming. The pool was so deep but I can finally reach also they check how long you can breath but I close my nose  because I can’t breath for ever. In the end we did a freestyle.

the end I felt like i was doing super bad because I kept on drowning and my legs were getting slower also I kept on geting help and I hope I get better and better at swimming.

Weta houses and Te Taiao Tamaki

First, we had to put on safety goggles,safety gloves, protective shoes and
cut bamboo we a very sharp saw. Then they put sharp pieces of bamboo on the table then passed the chance to cut to someone in our class. Mr. Vogt grab a drill made four holes then hang the wire hangers inside. Some of us Immediately painted the weta houses with ink so we can finish. Eventually, they hanged the Harakeke in the Omaru Creek.

In a while me and my class finally went to Te Taiao Tamaki  we went there in Thursday in lunch time. We went there to show us to respect the Omaru Creek. We saw people who perform from different countrys.

At the the first part there was a man named Tamati. He once he was standing on the creek with sticky boots, a wader dress, protective gloves also he got a face paint. He talked about the Creek.  Next there was a two ladys that made a very creepy and scary song one lady was trying to burn  the fake  dead lady dress and then it came alive then copy what the lady did.

Then there was two ladys they both look like a science’s They got water from the Omaru Creek, then they mixed it with something and then the water is so clean but it has a lot of dirt in it.  Then there was three people they were from all the way to Tonga.  Then they singed a song about the wave and the ocean but I did not understand it because it’s Tonga.


In a mean time we stayed in the same spot because there was a man who talk about Fishes and ells. I only saw ells but not any Fishes. The ells were like pets from the pet store but there using a fish tank. Just then Mr. Vogt got the weta houses and picked three people from Pt england school. Then Mr. Vogt talked about it and the three kids in our class were just holding it.In the end there was the people from fia fia last year they all pick kids from different schools. They picked  Three kids again from our school. We kept on cheering for our school. It was louder then I thought. This one was so fun and loud and then we left.

We left when it was still play time my favourite part was the people from fia fia. I wish we can go back because it was so fun but  I wish it is not that hot.

Ice cream

Me and my family went to sylvia park then I told my that I want ice cream so my Dad buyed me ice cream. I wanted ice cream  because it was so sunny outside,but I broke the cone a little bit so I ate it. It was so yummy it had sparkly sprinkles and the ice cream was so colorful. I went outside because it was so when it melts it won’t go in the floor.  When I touched it it felt so slimy like a slug and a snail. I did not want to eat it because it’s soo yummy. Then my Brother wants a taste test if it’s good for him or not good. So I gave it to him and he said it’s so good that he want’s some more but it was melting so i had to eat the yummy ice cream. So I got ice cream from my house it was brown like poop. Then I ate it all while watching youtube. I ate because it is super good also and it had also had sparkly sprinkles. Then I stop eating ice cream because I was getting sick of it.
